MOSCOW, Nov 25 (PRIME) -- Russian governors must control payment of wage arrears personally, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said at a government meeting on Friday.
“We understand it, this issue, since it is so much talked about, must be under personal control of regional heads. And anyway the existing debts have to be paid,” Medvedev said.
He said that the government earlier subsidized regions so they could raise salaries of state workers but the measures were not enough.
